The largest of the Veritas joinery saws, these tenon saws combine the best characteristics of a classic fine joinery saw with state-of-the-art materials and construction methods. Ideal for medium to large general-utility sawing on larger projects, tenon saws are longer and can make deeper cuts than dovetail and carcass saws, while generally having a lower tooth count. Two Veritas tenon saws are available, a rip and a crosscut. The rip saw is optimized for the fast, accurate cutting of tenon cheeks and similar cutting operations with the grain. The crosscut saw excels at trimming parts to length or for use with a miter box. Both come equipped with a closed hardwood handle that provides good power transfer while permitting a three- or four-finger grip for precise control. Also available in Veritas starter sets.
