With some tasks, the biggest challenge can simply be finding a surface that's large and stable enough to work on. This collapsible, portable workstation creates a sturdy 2' × 4' platform capable of supporting 2500 lb. Standing at a comfortable working height of 30", the accordion-like structure folds out in seconds without tools. You can lay a quarter sheet of plywood directly on it to make a worktable, or create a saw trestle by using the six included X-brackets to set 2 × 4s across the top.
Made of 1/2" diameter tubular steel with 1.2mm thick walls, the eight legs are linked by diagonal steel cross braces for rigidity. All steel parts have a tough powder-coated finish to resist rust and wear, with 2 1/2" diameter feet and leg caps made of ABS plastic, which is highly resistant to impact and wear but won't damage tool blades if they accidentally contact the caps. The caps have 3/4" diameter dog holes that accept the X-brackets as well as other included accessories: six high-friction discs to help prevent materials from sliding around, two hooks to help manage power tool cords and pneumatic hoses, and three quick-release hold-down clamps to secure your work on the platform.
Weighing less than 12 lb (including the case and accessories), the platform contracts into a compact bundle only 8" × 6" × 38" that slips into a zippered nylon tote for convenient transport and storage.
