Sjöbergs Apartment Workbench

Quantity:

As the name suggests, this compact workbench is suitable for a woodworker who has a smaller space to work in; it also makes a good companion to a full-size bench in a large workshop.

Made from oil-finished European beech, it has a work surface measuring 42 3/4" long by 19 3/4" wide and 1" thick with a 2 3/4" skirt. Solidly held together with lag bolts, it is sturdy and stable to support work. The vises, both 14" long with 4 5/8" clamping capacities, have 3/4" diameter Acme-threaded screws and double guide rods to help minimize jaw racking.

The bench top and vises are drilled with enough dog holes (3/4" in diameter), aligned in a grid pattern, to give a great deal of freedom in how you position work. The legs are also drilled to accept dogs or hold-downs for clamping large panels.

Supplied in a quick-to-assemble knock-down format, the workbench stands 35 1/2" tall when complete. Comes with four bench dogs with an inward-canted face and a side-spring that holds them in position. Their length makes them easy to adjust from the underside of the bench top for low-profile clamping of thin materials.

A versatile bench, ideal for workshops short on space. Made in Sweden.
