Description

Special buy. Limited stock.

If these traditional try squares look familiar, you are not mistaken. They are made in the U.K. by Crown Tools, the firm that makes two small walnut squares that we have offered for many years. With the exception of the beechwood stocks, they are manufactured from the same materials and to identical standards of accuracy as their walnut cousins, making them an economical choice without sacrificing quality.

They are made to British Standard 939 Grade B, which allows up to 0.001" deviation per inch over the length of the blade. Each square has a thick brass facing on the stock and a triple-pinned steel blade with a glare-reducing gun-blue finish. The compact 4" model is a nice size to keep on hand in a tool belt or apron pocket, while the 6" square provides a larger registration surface for accurate bench work.

Well made and finely finished, they are available at a price that makes them all the more appealing.
