Carving in the Round
Carving in the round is one of the more advanced forms of carving and involves turning a piece or block of wood into a three-dimensional object or character using a selection of knives, chisels and gouges. Projects include wildlife carving, caricatures, human figures and spoons. Books on carving in the round range from introductory courses for beginners to complex projects for expert carvers.
