Description

Established in Osaka, Japan, in 1969, Toyo Steel developed the first toolboxes manufactured from molded sheet steel. In the decades since, they have continued to refine these simple, rugged toolboxes that have earned a reputation for their impressive construction quality.

This toolbox is well made for heavy use and operates flawlessly. Opening from the top, the two cantilevered trays have a smooth action, spreading apart to reveal ample storage space. Twelve steel card dividers are included to customize the trays and organize smaller items, while the main compartment is sized for larger tools.

The base and lid are made from sheets of steel that have been molded and brazed together and have gently rounded edges and corners. Through-holes on each half of the lid accommodate a padlock to keep contents secure.

It has a striking blue finish that will wear over time, forming a rich patina to create a warm, vintage look. Measures 16 1/2" × 8 3/4" with a depth of 4" for the main compartment and a total height of 6 1/2". Weighs about 8 1/2 lb.

A handsome toolbox, designed to last for generations.
