This formulation combines an oil finish and wax to penetrate and seal the wood surface while deepening the color, highlighting the figure and providing moisture resistance.

A blend of plant-based oils and waxes (perilla seed oil, polymerizing safflower oil, hemp seed oil, tung oil, carnauba wax, candelilla wax and pine rosin), it contains no solvents or driers and is safe for use on food-contact surfaces. (Despite its name, no walrus oil is used to make this product.) The finish has a creamy consistency and a light lime scent. It can be used on its own to produce a semi-gloss sheen or top-coated with furniture wax for greater sheen. It is also suitable for rejuvenating oil finishes or top-coating traditional milk paints.

Simply apply a thin layer to the surface and wipe away excess after 24 hours. Repeat until the desired effect is obtained. After the final coat, allow 24 to 48 hours for the surface to become dry to the touch. Depending on temperature and humidity, it may take up to a week to dry to the touch completely and up to 4 weeks to cure fully.
