Description
Used with the Tormek sharpening system, this jig lets you apply a concave, flat or convex bevel to curved- and square-edged axes and hatchets.
The jig holds the head securely, permitting excellent control as you grind, making it easy to follow the existing edge curvature and bevel angle, or alter them precisely if desired. When you have finished sharpening one side, you simply flip the tool over to sharpen the opposite side; the jig automatically forms bevels with the same angle on both sides, ensuring symmetrical results.
Effective with axe and hatchet heads measuring approximately 4 3/8" to 8 5/8" long and 3/8" to 1 5/8" thick.
