Laguna DXIII Driftmaster Bandsaw Fence

Quantity:

This cleverly designed bandsaw fence permits quick, precise adjustment and offers a straightforward, reliable way to compensate for blade drift.

The fence rides along an included guide rail, permitting up to 26" of travel on most saws. To correct for drift, an adjustment knob skews the fence ±10°; two locking levers then hold the setting. Adjustments are referenced to the kerf of a test cut, so rather than being squared to the blade when it's stationary, the fence is aligned to the way the blade actually cuts.

For coarse adjustment, you can set the fence to glide freely on the rail; to then fine-tune the position precisely, a handwheel-operated rack-and-pinion mechanism micro-adjusts the fence 1/4" per turn, ensuring repeatable accuracy on incremental cuts.

The fence is a 22 3/4" long, 7 1/4" high rigid aluminum extrusion that can be oriented vertically for improved safety and control on tall stock, or set horizontally so it won't obstruct your reach when working with lower-profile stock. A channel in the guide rail accepts an included scale graduated in 1/16" increments on one side, which can be flipped over to show the metric increments (in millimetres) on the opposite face. To adjust and lock your settings while you work, the oversize levers and knobs are color coded, so reaching for the right one quickly becomes intuitive.

Comes with a universal bracket for easy installation on all major makes and models of 14" to 18" bandsaws, and includes all fasteners needed to mount the guide rail on either the forward or side slot of your saw table.

An optional flip stop is available separately for speed and accuracy when making repeated stopped cuts for tenons and other joinery.

A versatile system that covers a complete range of resawing, ripping and crosscutting tasks on a bandsaw.
