The standard dovetail saw, with its 9 1/4" long blade, has a 14 tpi ripping pattern with a 14° rake angle for fast, clean cuts with the grain. Lightweight and maneuverable, it is 14 1/4" long overall, weighs 13 oz and cuts to a depth of about 1 9/16". The open handle allows a comfortable pistol grip.
The versatile crosscut carcass saw, useful for both tenon and shoulder work, will likely become the most-used saw in your workshop. The 11" long blade has a 14 tpi pattern with a 15° rake angle. About 16 1/4" long overall, it weighs just over 13 oz and cuts to a depth of about 2 3/8". The open handle is larger than those of classic carcass saws to permit a comfortable, controlled grip.
The rip tenon saw is the largest of the set. The 16" long blade has a 9 tpi rip pattern with a 14° rake angle for quick, efficient cutting. The 21 1/2" long saw weighs just under 1 1/2 lb with a cut depth of about 3 7/8". The closed handle is configured for exceptional control for a saw of this size.
Made in Canada, each saw is well balanced with a spine molded from a mixture of stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fiber for stiffness and a polymer resin binder. The blade and handle-mounting bolt are molded into the spine, creating a solid blade/spine/mount assembly. The blades are 0.020" thick high carbon steel with 0.003" of tooth set per side. Hardwood handles.
