Hardened stainless steel with a matte finish; all markings are etched and black-filled. The edges are milled and each rule is Imperial/metric. Graduations are mm and 16ths, with smaller sections in 1/2mm, 32nds and 64ths. Reverse side has Imperial/metric, tap drill and thread conversion charts (6" rule has only an Imperial/metric chart).
