Special buy. Limited stock.

This stud finder takes the guesswork out of marking stud centers, and even reveals metal objects concealed within walls to help you avoid screwing or drilling into fasteners, plumbing or wiring.

It can clearly indicate wooden studs at a scan depth of 19mm (3/4") deep but bypasses metallic materials so you don't mistakenly identify them as studs.

It can also be set to find and distinguish between studs made of metallic and non-metallic materials up to 19mm (3/4") deep – useful in commercial buildings with steel framing. It has a deep-scan mode that doubles the scanning depth, detecting wood and metal studs up to 38mm (1 1/2") below the wall surface.

In all modes, the LCD screen clearly shows the edge of a stud as you slide the unit horizontally across the wall. As it passes over the stud, it not only shows the other edge but also flashes an indicator light to mark the center. If you then move the sensor vertically over the marked stud position, the sensor identifies hidden metal obstructions, such as fasteners, brackets, or wires and pipes running through the stud.

An additional flashing indicator automatically warns of the presence of live AC electrical wires up to 50mm (just under 2") below the wall surface.

Runs on one 9V battery (not included).
