This sliding calculator figures out the math needed to set correct angles for legs or spindles in chairs and other furniture made with staked joinery.

On one side, the calculator determines the sighting angle from your selected splay and rake measurements, and on the other, displays the “resultant” or drilling angle needed for your mortise. On a project layout, simply set a sliding bevel to the resultant angle, place it on the sightline and drill parallel to it.

Easy to use with instructions printed on both sides, the 9 1/4" × 4" calculator is made of 1/32" thick board stock held together with glue and metal eyelets.

An excellent design and layout tool.

Made in USA.
