Hidden rare-earth magnets give this trivet some unique benefits. It can be used in an X shape like a standard trivet, but for large pans and baking trays, the two 7 1/2" long halves can be moved apart as wide as needed to provide a stable base.
Used with steel or iron cookware, the magnets keep the trivet attached to the bottom of the cookware while it’s being moved. For storage, the magnets keep the two parts together, small enough to fit in some silverware trays.
The trivet is made of sturdy glass-filled nylon with a silicone coating, heat resistant up to 356°F (180°C). Dishwasher safe.
