A real space saver, this ironing board is designed for installation in closets and cabinets, where it folds up against an inside wall for storage. When needed, the 37 1/4" × 13 1/2" board pivots out on a sliding mechanism, then swings down to rest on a pair of hinged legs. Two oil-free compressed-gas cylinders regulate the board's movement to ensure smooth operation and prevent slamming when folding or unfolding the unit.
In use, the ironing board stands approximately 36" tall, with two leveller feet that allow up to 2" of vertical adjustment; when folded, it projects 6" from the wall. Largely made of heavy-gauge steel with a durable powder-coat finish, the unit requires a 19 1/4" high by 13" mounting area approximately 20" off the floor, and 8" of clearance to the side of the closet or cabinet opening.
Suitable for right- or left-handed installation, it includes instructions and all mounting hardware, as well as a fitted cotton cover with thick underpadding.
