All use collet-chuck locks to secure them at the desired length – the extension won't accidentally rotate or loosen in use. To provide a reliable mount for a paint roller, light changer or scrub brush attachment, the standard threaded coupling is durably made from zinc; it won't strip or crack as plastic threads will.
The poles are available in three lengths. Between them, you can extend your reach by as little as 2' or as much as 22 1/2'. The 2' to 3 1/2' pole is really all you need to reach heights up to about 10' and is particularly easy to maneuver – a real advantage when working in small spaces like closets or bathrooms. The 4' to 7 1/2' pole is excellent for most indoor and many outdoor jobs, letting you work in stairwells or reach vaulted ceilings without need for a ladder. The 8' to 22 1/2' model is a three-stage pole with two collets, and is ideal for outdoor tasks such as reaching high tree limbs and second-story windows. Excellent value in useful, well-made tools.
