Andirons can also help keep the fire safely contained by preventing logs from rolling out of the hearth.
Rather than the usual single-shank design, ours have double shanks that provide better support, even for shorter pieces of firewood. Formed from solid 1/2" diameter stainless-steel rod with an electropolished finish, they have the mass needed to remain firmly in place, yet are easy to move aside when it’s time to clean out the ashes.
