With this stand, setting up a tree couldn't be easier. Just set the tree in the base, hold it upright and pump the foot pedal until secure. As you pump the pedal, a cable tightens five ABS claws around the trunk. The claws automatically conform to any irregularities, applying equal force on all sides of the trunk for stable support. A bell signals when enough force has been applied.
An internal reservoir holds up to 2.5 gallons of water and has a water level indicator so you know when it needs topping up. The 20" diameter, 18 lb base can hold trees up to 12' tall with trunks up to 7" in diameter. An excellent stand, made in Germany.
