This set of gold-plated brass box rings avoids all the problems of threading wood or endlessly adjusting a friction fit for small boxes, eggs, compacts, needle cases, etc.
It can also be used for making salt and pepper shakers. You just turn a shoulder to size on each piece and glue the rings in position, aligning the grain before the glue sets.
Outside diameter is 42mm (1 5/8") with an inside diameter of approximately 1 3/8". Vastly simplifies small box work.
