This reliable station lets you keep a “weather eye” on local conditions in real time, even when you are away. With optional internet connectivity, it lets you stay connected to your home or cottage, and monitor indoor/outdoor temperature, humidity and other sensor data on your phone or tablet.
Using the free La Crosse View app, you can connect your station and your iOS or Android device to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, allowing the station to receive AccuWeather date and time updates, forecasts and more (in English, French, German or Spanish). If you have additional Wi-Fi compatible weather stations with the La Crosse View option, you can view sensor data from multiple stations through the app. You can also assign photos to identify your sensor locations, share access to your data with others and expand your system by adding sensors.
The station displays indoor temperature from 0° to 50°C (32° to 122°F), outdoor temperature from -40° to 60°C (-40° to 140°F) and indoor/outdoor relative humidity from 10% to 99%RH, providing min/max readings for all three. You can program alerts to let you know when preset temperature or humidity levels have been reached.
It also monitors barometric trends to forecast weather changes shown as icons on the color LCD screen. You can view temperature, humidity and min/max predictions for the next 12 hours and up to 6 days. When connected through the app, the station receives additional icons to show daily, hourly, 3-day and extended forecast information from AccuWeather.
The included outdoor temp/humidity sensor transmits with a range of 400' (121m) and runs on two AA batteries (not included).The backlit display operates on the supplied 5V AC adapter and power cord or with the included button-cell battery.
