Description
A light-colored, medium-density wood favored for carving, basswood is easy to work, with straight grain and a fine, even texture that takes detail well. These blanks are select-grade basswood, kiln dried, then milled to nominal dimensions and planed smooth on all faces.
The 14" × 5" × 7" block is suitable for large ducks; the 14" × 4" × 6" block is big enough for medium and small ducks. The 12" × 3" × 4" block will yield one large or two small songbirds. The 6" × 3" × 4" block is suitable for small birds, whittling and head blanks for large birds. Made in Canada.
