These stain applicators have an absorbent foam core with a knitted terry cloth wrap, a combination that lets you quickly flood and pad areas for smooth coverage.
At about 4" × 4" × 1" thick, the pads are a comfortable size and move easily across uneven surfaces. The high-density terry cloth has been treated for better absorbency and to remove chemical residues that might contaminate finishes.
Though designed for one-time use, they can be reused (with the same color stain) if wrapped in plastic between uses.
These are excellent pads for working stain into intricate carvings and bowls.
