This is a substantial holder, weighing in at a hefty 4.3 lb (1.95kg). With a body constructed of eight laminated layers of tempered float glass with a molded SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) casing, it not only holds Kuromaku and GS stones securely, but its mass ensures it will not budge in use.

The holder elevates the stone to a comfortable working height, allowing clearance for working on handled tools while supporting the stone at both ends as well as in the center. An excellent foundation for Shapton stone use in the workshop.
