This jig makes quick work of drilling mounting holes for knobs and pulls, helping you save time and avoid mistakes. Ideal for doing multiple pieces in a row, it ensures repeatable results.
Constructed from thick aluminum, the jig has laser-etched metric and Imperial scales to accurately position it from the edges of the workpiece. The vertical depth bar has an alignment stop that adjusts in height up to 8" (203mm), allowing you to find the center point on drawers up to 16" (406mm) tall. A single drilling guide on the depth bar permits accurate positioning for installing knobs. The jig is reversible for use on left- and right-opening doors.
Two moveable drill guides slide along the cross bar, locking with knurled thumbscrews. Positioning the guides lets you drill holes for pulls 1 3/4" (44mm) to 12" (305mm) center to center. The cross bar has an adjustable end stop that, when used in conjunction with the alignment stop, lets you properly set the jig.
A hardened-steel bushing in each drill guide holds a 3/16" bit (you supply), so you can consistently drill straight, precise holes.
