Hand made in a small workshop in Québec, these marking gauges are superbly crafted with beautifully finished bloodwood bodies and precisely fitted brass components. We offer them in three styles, each with a large-diameter thumbscrew that locks firmly without denting the stem, and a brass rub plate on the fence.
The standard gauge has one 1/4" wide cutting pin with an arc-shaped single-bevel cutting edge.
The mortise gauge is a two-pin model that marks both sides of a mortise at once; a slide adjust permits precise setting of the width between the pins.
The cutting & scratch gauge comes with one cutting pin and two scratch marking pins that store neatly in the stem when not in use.
As these fine tools are made by hand, supplies are limited.
