Gränsfors Broad Axe

Hand made by professional smiths in a small factory in Sweden, Gränsfors axes are a pleasure to use. They have grace, heft and balance that reflect good design and craftsmanship.

The broad axe is the Swedish double-bevel style with a 7" face, a 3 lb head and a 19 1/2" handle. It is easier to use than a single-bevel axe for fine work, but basically requires a different technique.

Each axe is marked with the initials of the smith who forged it, and is fully honed, ready for use. Supplied with a full-grain leather case and an informative booklet outlining proper usage, cutting techniques and care instructions.
