The elastomer liner covers a foam core with an inset gel disc that decreases the load on the center of the knee. Molded from thermoplastic rubber, the tough shell resists punctures.
They are 9 1/2" long overall and have two crisscrossing nylon belt straps, fastened with a snap buckle, that keep the knee pads from shifting in use or binding behind the knee.
