Produced by an award-winning U.S. company that uses steam-bending techniques to make handcrafted heirloom trunks, chests and other items including boot jacks, this durable, lightweight version mimics the shape of their wooden boot jacks; however, it is constructed of a tough nylon and fiberglass composite, designed to be more affordable but no less functional than the steam-bent jacks.
It has a wide, tapered opening to accommodate most boot styles and sizes. Simply step with one foot on the back of the device, place your other heel in the opening and lift your foot out of your boot.
The jack has rubber-like feet to reduce the risk of it slipping as you remove your boot and to prevent marking surfaces. A leather cord for hanging is included so you can store it off the floor and out of the way, if you wish.
