Outdoor Broom

This item is not available for this region.

More aggressive than a regular broom but gentler than a metal rake, this is a traditional Sri Lankan ekel (palm leaf) broom for outdoor clean-up. The wide, flat shape of the broom head fits into cracks and corners to scoop out dirt, and the closely spaced bristles will even collect pine needles.

It can also be used to sweep debris from a lawn (the bristles won't damage the grass) or collect wet leaves on a deck or patio. Made from the ribs of coconut palm leaves, the bristles are hard wearing and won't soften if used in damp conditions.

About 56" long overall, with a poplar handle and coir binding. Hand made in Sri Lanka.
