If anything you own has one bolt less than it did before you took it apart, you know all too well why these magnetic parts trays are such a smart idea.
Each has a magnetic sheet covering the base, which not only prevents fasteners or other small steel objects from wandering off while you work, but also lets the tray cling to nearby ferrous metal surfaces. In addition, the 1 3/4" high walls pop up accordion-style to keep other non-ferrous parts contained. A rigid ABS lip helps the walls hold their shape so the trays won't droop and spill their contents.
When you're finished with everything, the trays fold flat and cling together, nesting in a bundle only 1 1/4" thick. The walls are made of tough, flexible silicone, which is resistant to oil, solvents and other common workshop and household chemicals, and is easy to clean with soap and water.
The trays come as a set of three sizes (3" × 5", 5" × 6" and 7" × 11"), so you can choose the one best suited to the project or use all three at once to organize parts into separate containers.
