The Dust Deputy Low-Pro Deluxe uses a cyclone separator as an easy way to both increase the capacity of your shop vacuum and extend the life of its dust filters. This compact model has been designed with a low-profile cyclonic separator, so it stands only 18 1/2" tall (11 1/4" shorter than the Deluxe model) allowing it to be conveniently stored out of the way under a work surface.
It works through cyclonic separation; as debris enters the vortex, centrifugal force concentrates the particles at the periphery. Because the cyclone it creates is conical, the debris spirals downwards, losing velocity and separating from the airstream.
As much as 99% of shavings and dust are diverted into the container, ensuring very little reaches the vacuum itself, so filters load more slowly and suction loss is minimized. For use with any shop vacuum that has a 2 1/4" I.D. hose inlet, the Dust Deputy Low-Pro collects dust inside a heavy-duty 5 gallon plastic pail designed to withstand heavy vacuum pressure.
The kit can be used freestanding or affixed to the vacuum and includes a translucent plastic lid with a cyclone separator, a 36" flex hose, two elbow fittings for vacuum connection, plus hardware that includes casters and caster mounts to widen the base and provide better stability and portability, and installation instructions. This is a good option for workshops where space is limited.
