Air cleaners handle dust that gets past your main dust collection system. These fine particles, in the range of 5 microns and larger (for comparison, a human hair is about 40 microns thick), can hang in the air for hours, creating a breathing hazard and making a mess of your shop when they eventually settle.

Designed for smaller workshops, this air cleaner can filter up to 450 cubic feet of air per minute – the equivalent of replacing the air of a 20' × 20' × 8' workshop room more than eight times an hour. It can be ceiling-mounted for general air circulation or positioned on a workbench for more focused filtration. The two-stage system pairs an outer filter that traps particles 5 microns or larger with an inner pleated filter back that catches particles as small as 1 micron in diameter. Quick-release clips let you open it to clean or replace the filters without using tools.

The 1/4 hp motor has three speeds – 250, 350 and 450 cfm – allowing you to adjust the power according to need. It runs relatively quietly; at 64 dB, it’s about the volume of an in-window air conditioner. A timer function lets you set it to automatically turn off in 1, 2 or 4 hours, so it can finish cleaning the air after you’re done working. The included remote lets you activate the air cleaner and change the settings from a distance.
