Rubio Monocoat Part A is the same linseed oil used in Rubio Monocoat 2C, but without the accelerator that reduces cure time and serves as a hardener. As such, it is best suited for applications where you don’t need the durability or faster cure time of the 2C, including low-traffic projects or testing out colors.
Like the 2C, Part A applies easily in a single coat and leaves a finish that allows you to appreciate the natural texture and feel of the wood, while providing good protection against water and heat on all types of wood surfaces. Adhering directly to wood fibers, the product cures within 21 days.
Providing high coverage without any overlaps or starting marks, 100ml covers between 35 and 50 sq.ft., though some high absorbency woods such as walnut may absorb more finish.
Use a non-abrasive pad or plastic applicator to spread the product across the wood. After 3 to 5 minutes, wipe the excess off with a clean towel.
This is an environmentally friendly, food-safe product with zero VOCs, water or solvents.
