This two-piece rail and stile set makes set-up fast and easy.
For use on material 3/4" to 1" thick, it cuts a panel slot 1/4" wide by 3/8" deep by using a fence. The pilot bearings allow use on curved work with a template.
Our professional/industrial grade bits have tungsten carbide inserts ground on CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machines using 600x diamond wheels. Tungsten carbide maintains its hardness at high temperatures and holds an edge far longer than high-carbon or high-speed steels. The bit bodies have a non-stick coating for easy resin removal.
The classic rail and stile bits have a body diameter of 1 3/8", a depth of 1" and a 1/2" shank.
For better safety, these bits should be used only in a router table equipped with a fence and not used free hand.
Each bit includes an advanced polymer friction-fit holder that can be mounted horizontally or upright.
They use a 5/8” × 1/4" replacement ball bearing (available separately).
