They have strong, sharply defined lead screws, and three spurs that score the perimeter of the hole accurately. They work best in dry or green softwoods as well as in green hardwoods, but can also produce excellent results in dry hardwood if used at reduced speed.
Available in Imperial sizes, sold individually in diameters from 3/8" to 1 1/2" in 1/16" increments, as well as in sets of three and six.
Made of high-carbon steel with a low-friction PTFE coating, all are 7 1/2" long, with triple flutes and 7/16" hex shanks.
