Veritas Shooting BoardMade in Canada

Quantity:

This is a shooting board that doesn’t limit you to one angle – the fence is adjustable to let you shoot up to 60° from square. A spring-loaded button registers in fixed detents at 0°, 18°, 22.5°, 25.7°, 30°, 36°, 45° and 60° to let you quickly set the fence for square angles as well as miter cuts to produce frames with ten, eight, seven, six, five, four or three sides. For angles in between, the fence locks in place with a gyratory handle. A slot in the fence face accepts an adjustable user-made wooden sacrificial extension, which helps prevent grain blow-out by supporting stock from behind.

The 24" long shooting track fits our shooting plane and shooting sander. The channel is 3/8" deep and can be adjusted to fit running surfaces 2 1/32" to 2 1/4" wide. Set screws keep the stainless-steel outer rail from shifting in use. Low-friction UHMW strips in the bottom of the track let the plane glide smoothly. The fence and track are mounted on an 11 1/2" × 24" base made of 3/4" thick Baltic birch plywood. A cleat on the bottom of the board registers on the edge of the bench to hold it in place.

The fence is cast from a strong zinc-aluminum alloy, with steel and brass fittings. The track is durable aluminum.

Made in Canada.
