The matte-black titanium-nitride coating is highly resistant to scratches and everyday wear but can be neatly abraded from the surface using the included handheld engraving tool, rendering crisp details by exposing the contrasting 420 stainless steel beneath. The kit comes with blank drawing templates in the shape of the blade outline so you can plan the layout, as well as a coated steel blank so you can practise using the engraver before applying your design to the blade.
The knife can be further customized with your choice of three included handle scales, one made of padauk, one of juniper and one of woven carbon-fiber, each giving the finished knife a distinctive look. The result is a good-quality pocketknife with a sleek, stylish design.
The blade folds smoothly into the handle, making a slim, compact tool that slips easily into a pocket. It has a reliable liner lock to prevent the blade from accidentally closing in use, and a sturdy pocket clip to keep the knife secure but accessible.
