Manual Food Slicer

This item is not available for this region.

High-quality manual food slicers with steel components are a rare find, which is why we were so impressed by this one from Germany. Manufactured by ritterwerk, a company specializing in traditional food slicers since 1905, it will provide many years of dependable service. Its ultra-sharp, serrated stainless-steel blade effortlessly cuts meat, cheese, fruits and vegetables. It even slices soft, fresh bread without crushing it, which, as any bread maker can attest to, is not an easy feat.

Hand operated by a sturdy, smooth-running crank, it adjusts to cut consistently even slices ranging from wafer thin to just over 3/4" thick with the turn of a dial. A removable carriage allows you to easily guide your food with one hand while turning the crank with the other, also keeping your hand protected from the blade. As the food is being sliced, a food guide bracket guides the slice onto the surface you’re working on, so it doesn’t block the next piece.

The slicer is relatively lightweight and easy to maneuver, weighing around 7 lb (3.17kg) and measuring just 13" × 6 1/4". Four suction-cup feet prevent it from moving around when in use.
