One section of the two-piece jaw has a 3/8" diameter hole for a cord or bungee; as tension on the cord increases, the jaw is pulled more tightly against the opposing jaw, wedging the material in place.
The 1 1/2" wide toothed gripping surface helps distribute the load, minimizing the risk of tearing. Pressing a lever releases the jaws, allowing easy removal. 3" long with a load capacity of over 200 lb. An excellent design with many uses.
