Ecofan BelAir on a wood stove, distributing the heat of the fire

Ecofan BelAirMade in Canada

Quantity:

Designed for gas and pellet stoves, this ingenious stovetop fan is completely silent and costs nothing to operate. Based on a phenomenon known as the Seebeck effect, the fan uses thermocouple technology to generate an electrical current by exploiting the temperature difference between the stovetop and the ambient air. The fan speed varies with the temperature difference (greater difference, greater speed), quietly moving warm air from the stovetop. Made largely from anodized aluminum, it is an efficient way to disperse heat.

It has a base designed for greater heat conduction and two thermoelectric modules to create enough electricity to run the motor. 9 1/2" tall, it has a 9" diameter brass blade. Operates on surface temperatures from 167° to 392°F (75° to 200°C) and circulates up to 140 cfm. Cannot be used on wood stoves, as the high heat causes an overload switch to trip.
