Easy to install, this indoor LED tape lighting allows a broad range of design possibilities and is more energy efficient than conventional lighting. With red, green and blue LED chipsets, the lights are used with a color controller to produce a near endless array of colors (plus variations of white), making them exceptionally versatile for creative lighting.
The 30 LEDs per metre (9 LEDs per foot) density is a good choice for indirect accent lighting, where ambience is the primary purpose of the light. The 60 LEDs per metre (18 LEDs per foot) density provides brighter illumination and a more seamless output (given the greater density of LEDs). It can also be used for lower-brightness task lighting when set to white.
The factory-assembled kit supplies 8' (2.5m) of tape light, pre-soldered with a 48" wire lead for connection to a power supply, a splice connector for in-line strip-to-strip connections, a wire-lead connector to extend two sections around corners, plus two wire support clips and installation instructions.
To join multiple kits, cut the pre-soldered 48" wire lead from any tape being linked to the first and use the included splice connector to create a continuous run of lighting. Each light strip is backed with a high-tack peel-and-stick adhesive, and can be cut to length (every 4" for the 30 LEDs/m and 2" for 60 LEDs/m).
The lighting requires a 12VDC power supply with enough wattage to suit the intended application, some wiring and a color controller. While not required, you may want to add an on/off switch. For a more refined installation, we offer channels and diffusers.
All components are CSA, cETLus or cUL listed. The LEDs are rated to last, maintenance free, for 50,000 hours (equivalent to five hours per day for 27 years).
Tape lights can also be purchased in 32' (10m) rolls or in by-the-foot lengths.
These lights are compatible only with our 12V LED system and are not compatible with our 24V LED system.
