This is one of the earliest styles of hinge made, as it was readily produced with limited forging skills.
To install, affix the single leaf to the door and mount the single eyebolt in the cabinet carcass or wall. Next, slide the "rattail" through the eyebolt and fix it in position with a screw. The doors can now be mounted on the exposed rattail pin, with the door weight being borne by the carcass-mounted eyebolt.
The plain and large hinges are forged; the small hinge is machined. The large hinge is hand finished, 6 1/8" tall by 3 1/4" wide, and uses #6 round-head screws. The small hinge is 4 3/8" tall by 2 1/2" wide and uses #5 flat-head screws. The plain hinge has an overall height of 4 1/4" and uses #5 round-head screws.
