Used for thousands of years, an olla (pronounced “oya”) is a simple slow-release reservoir that is ideal for plants that need a consistent water supply. Buried in a garden bed, raised planter or large pot, it releases water directly to the root system as the soil dries.
Measuring 9" high by 6" wide and made from unglazed terra cotta, this olla holds 3 litres of water and covers a 16" radius. A water level indicator tells you when it's time to refill.
As with any terra cotta pot, it is recommended to bring it indoors during winter to prevent cracking.
