We put together this simple planting kit as an easy way for aspiring young gardeners to get growing. The kit includes a set of small, well-made gardening tools, and a selection of seeds, chosen because they are relatively easy to grow and yield colorful, flavorful results that any youngster would be proud of.
Sturdily made from glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene, the six tools are lightweight, strong, and non-rusting. Suitably sized from 8" to 9" long, they are less cumbersome than traditional hand tools, and they won't scratch surfaces the way metal tools can. The set includes a wide trowel, four-prong cultivator, weeding fork, narrow trowel, two-prong cultivator, and weeder (all of which can serve double-duty as beach or sandbox tools).

They all tested by an independent laboratory to meet or exceed Canadian seed standards for germination, and each packet has detailed planting and growing instructions printed on the back to help ensure success.
