Fiber Pots

Quantity:

Composed of wood fiber and limestone with no glues or binders, these starting pots have permeable walls that roots easily penetrate, becoming naturally air-pruned to form a dense, healthy root structure. When the seedlings are ready to be planted out, the pots can be placed directly in the soil, minimizing transplant shock. Once planted, they break down quickly, allowing unrestricted root growth.

The grow strips, supplied as two strips of 18 cells (36 total), make efficient use of space when starting seeds. For planting, you can carry several seedlings out to the garden at once, then easily separate the 2 1/4" × 2 1/4" × 2" cells by hand.

The square pots, suitable for faster-growing plants or those with bigger root systems, are sold as a package of six individual 3 1/2" × 3 1/2" × 3 1/2" pots.

The tomato pots are widely used by commercial growers and nurseries to give tomatoes the extra depth and space needed to develop robust root systems. They measure 7" deep by 4" square, and come in packages of six.
