Bluing Metal Finish

Used by blacksmiths and gunsmiths for centuries, this finish can be applied to any ferrous metals other than stainless steel to impart a distinctive blue-steel patina. Unlike paints or dyes, this treatment reacts chemically with the surface of the metal to alter its color. Each 3 fl oz (90ml) bottle treats approximately 3 sq.ft., based on a typical application of three coats (multiple applications yield a deeper hue).
