Trusty-Cook Dead-Blow Sledgehammers

These are excellent sledges. One key advantage of a dead-blow sledge is the lack of rebound, which makes them far more controllable when used with authority. The short-handled version is particularly useful for controlled striking (especially overhead) using a two-handed grip and a shorter swing arc. The 5 1/2 lb sledge has a 2 3/4" face diameter, a 7" long head, and an overall length of 20", where the full-size 9 lb sledge has an overall length of 30". Made in USA.
